Big Apple Banksy

Banksy hits the big apple in a big way.

The show opened at 1 pm, by 1:45 there was a 20 minute line already waiting to get into the doors.

This is refreshing, I just wish that everytime I lied to the police they didn't beat me.

Here is a look into the galleries interior, and it's onlookers.

This past Sunday was the opening of a Banksy show at the Vanina Holasek Gallery (502 W 27th St) in Chelsea. There was quite the turnout for the man known as Banksy. His art can be found all over the world, from elaborately detailed street stencils to his personal paintings hand placed in world renown museums. Banksy has become an art-world celebrity by his high-profile pranks despite the fact that few people even know who he is.

He once smuggled his pieces into Tate Britain, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), The Brooklyn Museum and the American Museum of Natural History. Some of the pieces went undetected for several days. Some say he is a genius others a terrorist but either way he’s leaving his mark in damn noticable way.To see more of his work visit: www.banksy.co.uk
